Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh says the GOP should not be so quick to give up the fight for what is "normal" by accepting transgenderism, even though its most famous advocate identifies as a Republican.
Bruce Jenner shocked viewers when he told ABC's Diane Sawyer in April he was a Republican in an interview announcing he was transitioning to a woman. Jenner now identifies as a woman and goes by the name Caitlyn.
Liberals are trying to "redefine normalcy," Limbaugh said on his show Tuesday, and conservatives and Republicans are "the new weirdos."
Transgender issues are part of a political objective to normalize "marginal behavior," he said.
"I mean, if less than 1 percent of the population is engaging in it, it’s marginalized behavior. It isn’t normal, no matter how you define it."
Society should not be celebrating and encouraging such behavior, Limbaugh said.
"These people have a very serious problem, and they need treatment," he said. "They need help, not encouragement."

spot on. it's a mental issue, not physical...
Big tent, inclusive party huh? Now you want to kick her out of the party?
No but Jenner should not be treated as some kind of modern day hero or mentor for our youth to aspire to! Jenner is no Ernie Pyle, Patton or Ralph Emerson to be idolized and memoralised as someone who has acheived greatness with skills beyond a normal persons abilities! Jenner is a sick joke on society, a pimple on the butt of social normality and that is all Jenner is!
That 'Big Tent' stuff is liberal BS.
The Republican party welcomes those who agree with what we stand for, but there is no 'big tent' philosophy demanding that we make room for those who are at cross-purposes with us or trying to make the party more liberal..
Let the Democrats have another with mental illness.
"Judge not, lest ye yourself be judged."
Jesus is she in the 2016 running now too!
11:50 If you are going to quote scripture please read the entire text and stop quoting when anyone takes a stand against any form of immorality or sin. Now go ahead and open your Bible and read the entire text of Matthew 7:1-6 and you will see its talking about hypocritical judgements. Also in Amos it says hate evil and love good. See you in church today?
You mean like Duggart and Hastert? Great republicans
