So? Why do we need them competing with private enterprise?

Tall Tales brewing TUT TUT.

If I owned one of the failing businesses I would fire those who did the sale. They supposedly get a lot of training.

8:42 - they normally get fired.

This is the reason many places card everyone no matter your age. Don't get mad when you are carded

10:04 just plain stupid to card an obvious 60+ grey haired woman who orders a glass of wine.

If fact at Bills Wild Wings they carded my 80 yr old father.

How is that protecting anyone? Its a cop out. Do your job appropriately and enough with the BS. It is ignorant and solves nothing.

card everyine. If your 80 year old father gets carded, so what, The police are agressive so why should the business not be?

Isn't Tall Tales co owned by the guy that was stealing from Wicomico County? Landfill maybe? Mike Lewis caught him red handed with a load of stolen diesel if I recall and much more was involved as well. How did he get a license to sell or make beer anyway?

Also I am pretty sure it is a law that you must have proper identification to order alcohol. Some people have restrictions on their ID that says they can't have alcohol. If you care everyone you are safe. I know it is a huge inconvenience to show ID but you are going to take your wallet out to pay for a drink so I think you will be ok.

If the servers are instructed to card 'everyone', then they should do as instructed. If done, no problem.
Employees must do what they are paid to do. Don't bash on them.

3:15 What a puss. I'm sure your 80 year old has dealt with more serious issues than getting carded. He should question the common sense of his spawn though.

Tall Tales what a joke---everyone who is in high school knows this is the place to go to get a pizza or wings and beer--lots of illegal activity going on there if someone has the time to watch it--"deals" in the parking lot--all the illegal signs posted along Rt 50--getting kegs of beer off the back deck after hours and on and on....

Where I work, everyone gets carded. No matter how old they look.
You don't card them, you get fired.
And I agree with the policy 100 percent.

I am 74 yo and got carded at Wild Wings and will never go back there again.

If you're really that mad about getting carded even though you're older than go to liquor store and go the hell home, don't go out and bother young adults trying to make a living in the bar/restaurant industry without getting fired. It's hard enough to find jobs around here so you want them to possibly lose their job over not carding you bc you have grey hair? What a disgustingly selfish life you live! I smile when I get carded I'm GLAD people are doing their job correctly!

Anonymous said...

Why get upset about getting carded!? People are doing their jobs. Get over it.

So when do we get to go undercover and check for compliance from the federal govt? You know....for upholding the U.S. Constitution and whatnot. Seems way more important than this waste of tax dollars.

Anonymous said...

You're 100% right for that. That's just stupid and petty to card at a certain point. No names mentioned on here but you'll never get turned away from my bar.

8:24 Good, stay away! I hope you wear a helmet when you are out and about. We wouldn't want you to hurt that delicate lump between your shoulders.

Anonymous said...

Yes well then you too are a moron and many customers will take their business elsewhere

Anonymous said...

Amen brother. It's ridiculous

Anonymous said...

Or how about you shut up and allow people to vote with their wallets

Sounds like you are a pissed off ex-employee, or you are a high school kid that they wouldn't serve.I worked there a little over a year and none of what you said has any truth to it. I hope they find out who you are and sue you for slander.

No Ray Lewis does not have anything to do with Tall Tales, you should know your facts before you post.
