It has been said several times on the news about armed citizens protecting their businesses without having to fire a shot. Shows you that the only thing these animals fear is getting shot. Sounds like a real simple solution to end rioting, arm yourself and fight back!

As a 1968 racial riot veteran, I can tell you that you only need to display a show of force to protect your business. In 1968, the big department stores avoided all damage by placing armed (showing arms) individuals sitting in all of their entrances. The Ma and Pa stores survived by offering 24hr free coffee to all law enforcement and National Guardsmen 24hrs/day.

I managed the radio net for the NG on Howard St in 1968 and got to hear first hand what was going on. This is just history (not taught) repeating itself. Maybe it should this go around.

Im sick of everyone saying these are not people from Baltimore doing the rioting! BULL! These riots started as the kids were let out of school. They showed these teens looting and throwing things at the police.

I'm sure kids could never do anything out of line. Just ask those who don't want to give consequences to public school students.

The city is going to be renamed "Burn-more". Makes you proud to be a citizen of Maryland. Ban more weapons, yup, makes the animals feel they can run freer.

8:02 I served in the Honor Guard, Ft. Myer Va. in 1968. We were called out during the DC. riots. I and my squad were stationed on the corner of 8th & 0 street. We patrolled a block with M14 rifles, with 40 rounds of ammo and fixed bayonets. I was young but not afraid because I was not ordered to stand down. That's the difference in then and now. If attacked by anything, we had the authority to fire.
