Wicomico County Has You unCOVERED

Don't you think for a second the Roads Division of Wicomico is slacking. All throughout the morning we have gone mobile to give you the real experience of snow removal.

We will continue to show you the progress throughout the day and even evening so you'll finally know in real time what to expect with your road conditions, especially for your evening and morning commute tomorrow.

There's NO NEED for YOU to get out there. We'll keep you posted. Stay warm, stay dry and stay safe. There's been many accidents already this morning. A simple curve in the road has found many completely out of control and sliding off into ditches. It's just not worth it.

Reporting LIVE from Wicomico County, this is Special Bureau Chief Joe Albero, Salisbury News. LOL

Hey Joe, can you post a link to the charter where it says we have 24 hours after it snows to clear the sidewalks? Wboc is saying 6 hours.

Are you out snowblowing older folks sidewalks today?

Great job, Lee!!
It's so nice to look at this and think.. "Your tax dollars at work", and not be cynical!

Nevermind, I found it.

Interesting that they even have the 6 hour rule on the City Of Salisbury Website.

12.10.010 - Removal of snow and ice from sidewalks.
A.
All owners of any land or premises situated on any street within the city where sidewalks are laid shall remove the snow and ice therefrom for the entire length thereof for a width of at least four feet or, at a minimum, the entire width of the sidewalk if less than four feet and may deposit the same along the remaining portion of such sidewalks which is farthest from the street within twenty-four (24) hours after the snow or ice has stopped falling.

11:02 - if you are trying to be sarcastic...are you offended that Joe supports and defends our county executive and employees? Roads was getting slammed during the last storm until Joe printed the truth. He is delivering truth now via photos. Frankly I am tired of reading lies and it is great to see irrefutable proof. Thanks to Lee Outten and everyone plowing whether part of Roads Dept or not. Also, thanks for delivering the action photos. As the saying goes...a picture's worth a thousand words.

12:23 Amen! Well said. It is great to see support for County employees and the Executive. So tired of those who whine and back-stab all the time.

Would be nice to see them do a bit more in Tony Tank-down right dangerous here. Should have seen the runners gingerly pick their way around the ice this morning. (Tim Kennard runners)

The said part is county employees have been working hard, but because everyone despised polittt, county employees were disrespect rather then viewed as doing their jobs. How quick we forget how we talked bad about everyone who was employed by the county.
