Good Morning From Marathon, Florida
A viewer send their best wishes this morning from Marathon, Florida. I know the area well. It's the only place I've ever been where you can see the sun rise as well as the sun set. Thanks for sharing and bringing back fond memories!
I love Marathon, and thank you to the viewer, who sent in this beautiful picture, for the reminder of how life is there... One of these days that's going to be my own sight to see everyday, I'm counting the days down..
Actually, it's the Gulf of Mexico and -- I think -- the Atlantic (although it may be the Carribean so I may be a bit stupid as well). In that respect, not too different from Ocean City.
12:23,I'm the one who took the picture.born n raised in oc.we are leaving key colony beach into the Atlantic . 7:15 am .the difference is 15 miles off the beach,450 ft.of water, your in the gulf stream,as opposed t 60 miles off oc.. alot of good fishing in clear water.only a short distance into the gulf.make a mile.best of both worlds.awsome fishing, relaxing ,awsome beaches.whats not to like.oh the average temperature this time of year,80s. Alot different from oc.
8:58 totally agree with you. Was in Marathon in January. Also to 12:23 when you watch the sun set in OC you watch it set over land (Ocean Pines). In Marathon watch it rise and set over nothing but water. Trust me big difference between the two views.

What a beautiful picture.
Someone called me out on my Post and they are right, how stupid of me not to explain more.
I meant to say sun rise over the OCEAN and sun set over the OCEAN. All from one location.
Very cool. I'm not a fan of FL at all but I would love to see this wondrous site.
