The process works like this . First the Auction is held. Anyone may bid at the Auction, The lender may buy the property or a third party can buy the property. Once the property is declared sold. A report of sale must be filed with The Circuit Court of Wicomico, this is the beginning of the process known as “Ratification of Sale” . There are several steps to the process. The process usually takes at least 45 days, frequently the process takes 60 or so days. Not until the sale has been ratified by the court will the buyer have the right to take possession of the property. Station 7 could remain open during the ratification period if they wish. The new owner takes over they could operate the property themselves or they could lease the property back to Station 7.
STATION 7 IS NOT CLOSED, JUST BECAUSE THERE IS A TRUSTEE’S SALE IS SCHEDULED, THIS DOES NOT NECESSARLY MEAN THEY WILL BE CLOSING IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

Read that Station in Laurel has closed as well. Does anyone know the status of the one on rt 707 in west OC? Sad to see the local place go but the writing was on the wall when they started to expand....service and food quality went downhill and fast.
OK, let's clear the air on all the other rumors as well. "The Station" in Laurel was sold. Station 7 in West Ocean City is opening as a new restaurant under new ownership, just like Laurel.
Let's try to remember that a young couple came back to the Shore with a dream of opening up a restaurant. A LOT of money went into this dream and they tried their best to survive in a horrible economy.
I make NO excuses for the Wampler's, they failed. The RUMORS you are hearing from elsewhere are just that, rumors. What I am tell you is the facts.
As for ANY comments attacking the Wampler's will be rejected.
The guys opening west OC have years of experience so let's hope it goes well
I used to frequent this restaurant often and the food and service was good. However I have been there twice when fights broke out and the police were call to the premises. When restaurants start depending are wanting to become a night club they are typically on their last legs. I wish them well.
8:43, Sometimes I wonder where all you Monday Morning Quarterbacks come from!
Look at Brew River for example. They've been in business for YEARS and they have fights. Is it their fault, NO. It has to do with a select group of people who just can't control themselves.
They're also not going down hill, as you suggest. Incredible!
A real shame. I know how hard Carol worked, and to see this happen is heartbreaking. But she's moving on with her life. Best of luck.
it is a shame they spent much time improving that area and the old feed mill just sits there falling down and the vacant back across the street and houses and the old store across the street too
