You may remember that 2015 is the year Marty McFly travels to in “Back to the Future: Part II.” A few weeks ago, we looked at some of the predictions the movie made about what life would be like today.
On Thursday, the Urban Institute made its own predictions about what the D.C. region will look like, come the year 2030.
The message from a trip through downtown Washington says money, development, growth.
A computer model put together by the Urban Institute suggests much growth for the entire metropolitan region is going to continue through 2030.
“There are factors that are bringing Washington lots more people from all over the place,” said Rolf Pendall of the Urban Institute. “We’re wealthy, we have the economy that brings new people in.”

Probably be no different than any other third world hellhole like Mexico, Latin America, or India.
We will be the late great United States. But then again, I wonder if we will still be called the United States of America?
