Good stuff. That's the problem these days. When I was a kid I only feared god and my parents. I got a barber strap or picked switches. Never had kids doing crazy stuff back then.

No excuse for hitting the young man and no excuse for the ignorant language. The father needs to lead by example and he certainly failed.

Right thought process but wrong way of achieving his goal. No wonder many of these kids become losers and thugs (even the ones with parents like this who seem to care but dont know what to do). Hope it works for the kid.

That man may have just saved his son's life.

3:26 and 4:14......wake up! That's the only way that father could get his sons attention! Your sheltered life has you both in a make believe world......

I totally agree with 4:45 PM. "Time Out", "Go to your room", or taking things kids like or love to do-phones-games just don't work. That man want what is best for his son. Some folks need to take notes.

He's done something to piss his Dad off to this point. So Dad thinks he must fight fire with fire. His Dad loves him enough to do that. Good Man.

I agree 5:11. This father was desperate to get his son's attention and knew he had but one chance to do it. This father loves his child and knows this intervention is necessary, as drastic as it may seem, to keep his son from making wrong choices. There is no book on parenting and he responded the only way he knew how. I respect him for caring about his son's future. This world needs more parenting.
