Outside of Ocean City, stray animals are, according to county code, to serve a quarantine of 10 days at the Worcester County Animal Control center off Timmons Road in Snow Hill. That’s a good 20 miles away from the Worcester County Humane Society, near the Ocean City Airport.
The reasoning for this is admittedly nebulous, but as an organization trying to rebuild itself, the humane society is quite used to working in uncharted territory.
“We’re trying to organize policies and procedures, and we’re starting from scratch,” Kelly Austin, president of the humane society’s board of directors, said.
There exists a deal in which animals found in Ocean City can serve their quarantine at the humane society. All other animals are, for the time being, out of luck at that facility.

I don't know what's up with this place but it's really gone down hill lately. It seems like they are adopting animals out to just anyone anymore.
do not adopt a cat from cat connection. They do not give adequate medical treatment to their animals, and adopt them out for $100 leaving you having to go to a veterinarian within a week or two to start spending seven and eight hundred dollars at a start just to get them healthy. I applaud the thought but if they cannot take care of the animals that they currently have they should not be adopting any out. They should only take in as many animals as they can give proper treatment for.
it is a lie. They are a kill shelter. I took a dog to them they didn't seem friendly to anybody but me. I found him on the side of the road with a collar and leash. I called 3 days later to see if they found the owner if not I was going to adopt. They had informed me they already euthanized the dog .
Looks like Mrs Holloway has returned. Go back under your rock
Put the found animals up yourself or with a neighbor and send a photo here to Joe Albero. It always works in getting them back to their owners.
If you don't want to do that, either let them roam or kill them yourself. Don't pawn off the dirty work to somebody else!
7-13 you are correct the way they can continue to lie and claim they are no kill is crazy they take the animal to a vet or another shelter to have it put to sleep--just because they don't perform the procedure there is telling a fib---they are still getting rid of the animal and they do transfer to other shelters so that is a lie too--another lie is easily seen--look in the newspapers where they say they are taking care of hundreds of animals and go to the website where you might find 20 listed then I heard on channel 47 a dog they said they transferred in from North Carolina--why in the heck would they do that when they turn away people at their door with animals or transfer from somewhere closer than North Carolina---I have been a long time donor--not much money but something small each year or when they sent a mailer out sent them a donation and it will be my last--I asked them who was on their Board and got no answers asked them about posting their new rules and bylaws online and told it was private info
