Caring for human life is a one-way street these days, and no one is marching on it for cops.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts set off a firestorm when he said he wondered if those protesting alleged police brutality would show the same concern for the wounded officer who was shot during a traffic stop Sunday, the Baltimore Sun reported.
Baltimore police Officer Andrew Groman was shot by Donte Jones,19, after using his Taser in an attempt to subdue the suspect.

Come on where are all you cop haters now? This officer attempted to do the right thing - by using his taser as you have commented on so many posts that they should do - and what happened he was shot by a gun! Come on respond to this one! Officers place their life on the line everyday! What do you do? Sit behind your computers and bash them for attempting to keep our streets safe!!!!
He shot the cop "after" the taser was used.

Why would a police officer use a taser during a traffic stop unless he was attempting an illegal act?
Cudo's to the citizen for protecting himself when electrocuted by that mercenary.
This is why we have the 2nd ammendment, to stop the state from illegal acts like electrocution and torture for a driving infraction.
Well, Commissioner Batts is off base here on several counts. First, when the unspeakable happens and a police officer is killed in the line of duty, citizens and police of all colors gather by the hundreds to pay tribute to that officer. We have all seen this. Second, when an officer is harmed or killed in most cases the person who does the harm is arrested, prosecuted and hopefullly sent to jail for a very long time.This is not the way things have gone in the recent high profile police cases that he is relating to. People died and nobody was called to task for it. No arrests, no trial, no punishment.
So maybe the police should offer a hug to the thug first?
No hugs, police should follow the law they are sworn to uphold.

Good news for you, hardass. This means there will be a vacancy on the Baltimore PD. Why don't you apply and show everybody how the job should be done? They could probably use an expert like you.
You know, back in the day, the adage was, "You do the crime, you do the time." I'm pretty old now and anything that I may have thought about doing would be null and void under the statue of limitations, but back in my day if an officer stopped you for whatever, you respected the uniform. It was, "Yes, sir and No, sir." And you know what, many was the time that someone could have gone to jail and didn't just for that reason.
You didn't cite all of your constitutional rights and immediately shove a video camera in the officer's face to prove that you are recording this. You didn't immediately grab for your waistband or your pocket. Every punk on the street was not "carrying," and willing to shoot someone for a crime that they committed. They do the crime but they aren't willing to do the time. I do not have a problem with an officer responding to them in the same manner.
In all my years, I have been stopped many times. In all kinds of situations. I have always respected the uniform. Have never had a problem with the officers.
I as a Blackman have had run-ins with Police in my lifetime.I did what I was asked to do and had no problems,matter of fact I have been let go on numerous occasions.The run in with our law enforcement can go a different direction if you don't break the LAW.
