Prayers that she will be ok. If that is what happened, I really wonder how people could do such things! Lock them up and throw away the key!!!

anonymous 8:44, Google selects which articles go into the Top 5. It is based on the TRAFFIC each article receives, not comments.

For those of you trying to bash me in comments, let me say this.

We were informed about this story by TWO Firefighters. It was then confirmed minutes later by one of the top officials within the SFD. Then, it was also confirmed on a Fire Department related Website.

It wasn't until the girls Mother called me to tell me what had actually happened that I made an immediate decision to put up a correction. We also corrected, (with a link) the original article.

Unlike ALL other news sources out there, WE OWNED UP TO THE MISTAKE. Sure, it would be much easier to pull the article and make it look like it never happened and we ALL know what Blogger does just that. instead, we owned up to it.

I'll repeat, we had THREE sources as well as a Website confirmation. More than enough to publish a story.

All that being said, a young girl was seriously injured last night. THAT is the story, period.
