Attempted murder suspect found dead in Appoquinimink River

Calvin L. King, a 37-year-old Milford man wanted in connection with the stabbing of two women in Milford, was found dead in the Appoquinimink River Nov. 25.

The Delaware State Police Scuba Unit and the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control found King's body about 60 yards east of the bridge on the northbound side of Route 1 about 1:30 p.m., said Milford Police Department spokesman Detective Dwight Young.

Young said King's body has been turned over to the state Medical Examiner's Office.

King was accused of stabbing two women Nov. 24 at the Mispillion Apartment Complex and was facing charges of attempted murder, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited and several other charges after leading police on a chase to Odessa, Young said.

Milford police said King was arguing with a 28-year-old woman at 3:07 a.m. Nov. 24 in an apartment room when he threatened to kill the woman and then stabbed her on the wrists and head.

Vigilanteism is inevitable and will increase as time goes by.Threats must be removed from the streets by all means necessary.

Facing charges implies that a grand jury didn't 'fail to indict' this thug - maybe they actually found the evidence to support the charge and potential conviction.

In this case, I might say that taxpayer money was saved by whomever decided this POS wasn't worth the oxygen he was consuming!

My guess is he was killed by folks close to the people he caused harm to...more of his own!

Kudos!

We are living in a world that is becoming increasingly more and more violent. If you are a peaceable person, how will you fit in to the new society???

Somebody (or somebodies) saved the taxpayers a boatload of money.
