PERRY HALL, Md. (WJZ)– The man found with a 12-year-old girl reported missing from Perry Hall will appear in a North Carolina court this afternoon.

Police say 32-year-old Victor Arroyo is charged with assault on a female and is expected to appear in court around 2 p.m.

Late Friday night, authorities found 12-year-old Jasmine Baker with Arroyo nearly 300 miles away from her Baltimore County home in North Carolina.

After missing for more than 72 hours, Baker was reunited with her family and friends over the weekend. It comes after after an exhaustive search for the pre-teen that landed FBI billboards up and down the East Coast.

Hopefully her parents have learned a very valuable lesson! You have to watch your children! You are the ones who are responsible for them! Video games are the newest babysitters! My son plays XBox and I know when he is playing, who he is talking to and what they are saying! There are ways to monitor this stuff, but the parents have to take the time to do it! The parents are just as much to blame as the perp!
