How To Get Evidence Out Of The SPD Evidence Lockers

Mayor Ireton, Chief Duncan to Discuss Community Policing at
Monthly Mayor's Neighborhood Roundtable

Mayor James Ireton, Jr, and Salisbury Police Chief Barbara Duncan invite the public to the Mayor's Neighborhood Roundtable being held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 6pm, in Council Chambers in the Government Office Building downtown.  Police Chief Duncan will make a presentation on the efforts of the Salisbury Police Department's Community Policing Initiatives.  The public is invited to attend, ask questions, and make comments on the efforts of the police department.

“The Salisbury Police Department, under the leadership of Chief Duncan, has expanded our efforts in the areas of Community Policing,” said Mayor Ireton. “From working in local schools, to bicycle and foot patrols, to participating in our neighborhood saturation this week, to immersing themselves in neighborhood data when first becoming officers, the Department is willing to know and understand the community.  We look forward to highlighting the efforts of the SPD, to hearing suggestions from our citizens, and to working to continue implementing changes that will help us better serve Salisbury.”

For further information, contact the Mayor’s office.

Duncan hasn't put more officers on the street, there are 19 vacancies because she is running out all the decent senior officers and replacing them with corrupt rookies who will do her dirty work. They spend all their time inside the station because most are too scared to get out on the street.

7:19 so true I hope the F.O.P. will get you guys collective bargaining. I here the Mayor is not returning their calls. The man is a fake and a coward. Duncan needs to step up and do the job she is capable of doing. Ireton has screwed her royal. The truth is coming out on the numbers soon. faking the U.C.R. is a crime. False report. Funny they do internals on all the cops for far less. Hypocrite comes to mind.

From working in local schools??? Lies, lies, everywhere are lies. A kid crossing College Ave uses a crosswalk, paid and trained by the Sheriff's Office on a city road. Why aren't those fancy speed cameras on the same road paying for that? Or better yet... a kid gets into a fight on a school bus or at a school bus stop in city limits. Because the word school exists, the Sheriff's Office is thrown the call by SPD. It happens with greater frequency than you may expect. The Sheriff is quick to make sure that if they are called by the public, they will investigate, regardless of where it happened. He doesn't punt the ball back. How many schools are actually in city limits? I don't know exactly, but I'm sure there are a lot. SPD didn't handle any investigations in schools. Joe- do a FOIR for how many times they responded to anything in a public school.

Really was there not one man who could be the police chief?

I remember when a woman wouldn't even consider such a job. Make that a lady.
