Over 300 Dogs Are Rescued in Puppy Mill Raid – But Wait, It Get’s Better…

It’s the happiest ending anyone could hope for for the neglected dogs found living in horrible conditions in Cherokee County, Georgia back in July. The poor pups were found stuffed in dirty cages, badly in need of medical attention. When their heartbreaking story broke, it was met with an outpouring of donations of time, money, and supplies from people who believed these dogs deserved a second chance.

With the overwhelming support of the community, the Cherokee County Animal Shelter hosted a “Happily Ever After Celebration” on August 23, during which potential adopters were encouraged to come out and register to take one of the pups home. An adoption fee of $100 and one-dog-per-family rule were set in place to discourage unsuitable owners.
