Lewes Man Charged with 5th Offense DUI after Crash Knocks out Power Near Rehoboth

Rehoboth, DE – State Troopers have arrested a 50 year old Lewes man for his fifth offense DUI after he wrecked and took out two utility poles.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m. Monday August 25, 2014 as Andrew J. He was brought back to Troop 7 where a DUI investigation ensued and he was subsequently charged with his 5th Offense Driving Under the Influence (previous convictions of 10/07/92, 07/16/98, 07/29/02, and 05/13/10), Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Collision, Driving While Suspended or Revoked, Driving a Commercial Vehicle without an Endorsement, Escaping Contents, and other traffic related offenses. How did they get him to stop drinking long enough to take his mug shot?

He needs to be put in jail for a long time. I don't understand how these people keep greeting a slap on their wrists.

9:28-They keep dredging up those who they claim depend on their support. Those dependents typically appear in court & encourage the judge to make a special provision. That usually involves driving to and from work ONLY.Before long they're driving everywhere.
