Smoking Bans Increase On Rehoboth, Bethany Beaches

WASHINGTON - A beach that's popular with families just expanded its smoking ban, and a beach nearby has tweaked its rules as well.

In the City of Rehoboth Beach, an existing ban on smoking tobacco products in parks has now been expanded to include the boardwalk, the bandstand area, and much of the beach.

"We do have designated areas where people are allowed to light up on the farthest reaches from the water," says City Commissioner Stan Mills.

Signs and ashtrays make these spots highly visible, Mills says.

Yeah Yeah, and how many of those people have alcohol in those coolers on your beach? Don't stop them, and they go out and cause accidents and it is ok!

Solution is easy if you need a nicotine fix on the beach. Just dip-n-spit!

Puff on cigars. There's no nicotine addiction, and you're still smoking, sort of. Oh, and you are paying 80% less, puffing 400% less. I spend $30 a month now and am not "addicted". I used to do 2 cartons a week!

You just don't inhale. Lungs are vital organs, mouth and noses are not.

Think.

nah, it's from all the come-heres, gay mayors, good ole boys given positions over the more qualified, but not connected people, and people all in others peoples business instead of worrying about their own business and shortfalls.

I don't know if it's banned in OC or not, but I could hardly breath tonight because that's all I could smell on the boardwalk. Gag!!
