Vanishing Ocean City With Bunk Mann

The Dispatch

Vanishing Ocean City With Bunk Mann
Much of the bayside was still undeveloped in this aerial view of 53rd to 54th streets in the mid-1970s.
Boulden’s Marina -- today the site of Beach World, Chauncey’s Surf-O-Rama and Bayside Rentals -- is in the center of the photo while the large grassy area is now occupied by the San Remo Condominium.
The small island in the background is today part of Macky’s Bayside Bar and Grill, which features a white sandy beach with open air dining. The Candy Kitchen has remained on 53rd Street for over 40 years.

That was when OC was a family resort town and there was no trashy people there.

I used to own a Condo in San Remo. Great memories.

I don't understand the point of the photo or article. Just what is "vanishing"?

OC keeps their buses not far from there and they have as much room as they have ever had.

On the bottom of the photo the dark red building is James B. Caine Real Estate.

8:28 The vanishing refers to a time and way of life in OC not actual land. It is a regular column in the local OC paper the MD Coast Dispatch.
