EASTERN SHORE REGIONAL LIBRARY RELOCATES TO THE TRI-COUNTY BUILDING

The Eastern Shore Regional Library, Inc. is moving from their current location in the Wicomico Public Library to its new home in the Tri-County Building at 31901 Tri-County Way, Salisbury, MD 21804. ESRL expects to be in the new location by July 1, 2014.

“My staff and I are excited about relocating to the Tri-County building. We are grateful to the Wicomico Public Library for hosting us for our first 50 years and look forward to many more serving them and our other member libraries on the Eastern Shore." says Eastern Shore Regional Library Administrator, John Venditta.

The state-supported not-for-profit serves as the regional resource center for the public libraries in Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico and Worcester Counties. ESRL’s services include daily materials delivery, information and reference services, technology support and consultation, consortial purchasing, staff training, marketing and graphic design, as well as a variety of other services through mutual cooperation with the eight county library systems.

Got to make room for section 8 housing. The current mayor wants to create more activity downtown so he takes away the library. By the way, there will be no car show at the Salisbury Festival this weekend. The Mayor would not allow the autos to park on Main St. My understanding is that the City would not help out with expenses for trophies and said the cars would have to be displayed in the parking garage among the general public parking.

and moved to a location outside of town. How many people will now be able to actually access this resource? none apparently, just the way they like it! Now how much taxpayer money is attached to these BS jobs? Time to flush this entity.

Thanks for the info 11:26. I was planning to go. Just another way to encourage people to go downtown. That's the local Democratic way of thinking. They would rather have a transgender parade.

Is the library it's self moving or just the ESRL staff moving?

Goggle Eastern Shore Regional Library or copy and paste this link

http://www.esrl.lib.md.us/

to find out the function of ESRL.

ESRL was using space in the WCPL building, now ESRL will be using space in the Tri County building

Wicomico County Public Library is a member of the ESRL. Can anyone guess who the other members are?

I LOVE the library and always will. If some people spent more time in the library there would be less ignorant people out there. Plus fewer children on the streets.
