One year ago this week, Alexander Heit's was in mid-sentence with his final text. Before he could even send the text, the 22-year-old University of Northern Colorado student drifted into oncoming traffic, jerked the steering wheel and went off the road, rolling his car.
Heit died shortly after the crash, but his parents and police are hoping the photo of the mundane text on his iPhone will serve as a stark reminder to drivers.

It won't make the slightest bit of difference. He died for nothing.
Today while driving back from the Western Shore, I saw so many young people driving and reading or texting as they drive down the road. What can be that important to be texting and driving?
Any driver looking down is texting , or has dropped a smoke in their lap. So obvious!
Watch in the City Of Salisbury...
You will see this everywhere as SPD hides in the Hedges trying to catch a 17 year old drinking,
as Drugs and Guns are sold on LAKE street near the Power-House
and distracted drivers talk and text on the cell phones...
These young people don't care. They think they are indestructible. I see them all the time texting while driving. Being Drunk and texting while driving is one in the same. They both KILL.
They just need to force the cell phone companies to stop text send from a moving car. The signal can be blocked from the cell towers, and the towers know the phone is in a moving car because of it transmitting signal.
It's not just the younger adult.
I saw a guy on a motorcycle making a left turn at a light, TEXTING.
Has anyone but me noticed all the kids on bikes TEXTING? I can spot them a block away & begin slowing down.
Being a TRANGENDER STUDENT at your College on Camden Avenue, and also being a Sport player there...I get allot of dates...so I have to TEX while walking, Biking, and driving my OBAMA-CAR...with all my cute Obama stickers...
