The companies receiving a letter on Sunday from the group were Wal-Mart Stores Inc., supermarket operators Kroger Co., Safeway Inc., which operate pharmacies, and drugstore chains Walgreen Co. and Rite Aid Corp.

I guess next will be stop selling cars!
If that does'nt define nanny state I dont know what does.
I would stop selling if they could give me three ways of making up the lost revenue.
Oh please! More than 99% of the crap they call food sold in these places are way more harmful than cigarettes. I am so sick of these hypocrites. I am not a smoker but used to get a kick out of these so called "concerned parents" who didn't want their child breathing smoke while in a restaurant. In the meantime they are shoving "food" laced w/all kinds of chemicals down the throats of these children they profess to care about. This country has become so stupefied it's pathetic.
Boy, can you imagine the upswing in black market sales!!
So, where will the NEW tax money come from that replaces tobacco?
I think it's called the driving tax based on how many miles you drive.
You know why Maryland needs those stores shelves to display and sell Maylands new tobacco - marijuana
I guess when Maryland outlaws booze then people will start fighting back. But, soon I'll be able to smoke a joint in the VFW. This State is a joke because of dumbed down Democrats.
WE ARE BECOMING MUSLIM COMPLIANT WAKE UP PEOPLE.
