A SALISBURY NEWS EXCLUSIVE: SALISBURY AIRPORT COVER UP, "THE DRAPER ONE APPROACH"

Image is not Piedmont or Salisbury
Its December 21st. Loved ones are flying into Salisbury to visit Family and others are coming home for the Holidays. The Centre Of Salisbury Mall is packed with Holiday Shoppers, local Hotels are booking rooms for visitors when all of a sudden a Piedmont Airline Plane is descending at an incredible rate of speed, many witnesses scared for their life.

For those on board the Plane, preparations for a crash were in progress as the plane descended to less than 500 feet over the Mall.

The problem, well, there was no problem, thankfully. The Pilot simply wanted to rattle the windows of his home and neighbors who lived next to the Mall.

Ladies & Gentlemen, this didn't happen just once. It happened multiple times, hence airline personnel nicknaming it "The Draper One Approach".

Below under "READ MORE" you will find some of the most incredible findings you've ever seen from the FAA. We are providing documented proof and evidence and we at Salisbury News are truly concerned for your safety, not only on the ground but in the air as well.

You have to ask yourself, WHY haven't we heard of this. Why hasn't it hit the local Main Stream Media? Could it be possible that one of the people that runs the Salisbury Airport is married to a prominent local News Reporter?

All I can tell you is, THIS IS NEWS. All too often I am labeled the bad guy for exposing this kind of information, am I? I shared this story with a local business person who immediately challenged me by saying, what are you going to do now, close our Airport. Is it really necessary, they said.

Well, YOU read these documents and decide for yourself. IS THIS NEWS? DO YOU BELIEVE YOU SHOULD BE MADE AWARE OF SUCH THINGS LIKE THIS?

I'll simply say this. The rest of your local Main Stream Media DOES NOT.  What's more important safety or profit?  You decide.

Joe, thanks for bringing this incredible story to light. I was reading some of these posts and I had a thought.
You and your family took a train ride last year for the Holidays. You now read in the paper that the train's conductor was exceeding the speed of the train, putting all passengers on the train in danger. The investigation stated this conductor had a history of doing this and his license was revoked. Does it matter to you and your family that you were on that train?

10:21, My answer would be as follows. ABSOLUTELY.

Considering the conductor was, (as suggested) being PURPOSELY reckless it makes a difference.

In the case of the airplane pilot, he was doing the same. If that person was getting his jollies at the risk of my Family's lives I would feel that I/We should have been informed by the company that this in fact happened. The FAA and the Airline have been out of line.

Well said 10:07! My thoughts exactly!
I think we all just take for granted that the cockpit crew would never jeopardize our safety by doing anything unsafe and idiotic. All of this should make everyone rethink that.

All I can say is that my house is under the landing pattern for the airport, too. Now I know why sometimes the planes are so low they look like they're going to land on my roof (or the bypass).

Joe, this is your #1 story of all time!!
My wife and I read nothing but your FACT based stories. My lawyer son said under The Freedom of Information Act ALL of this can be obtained. Everything is public record. I guess Piedmont had hoped no one would ever see it. Joe, knowing your style, being the betting man that I am, I'm
pretty sure you have a lot more information you haven't shared with us yet. Hang on, people. This is going to be a bumpy flight.

My family and friends have always looked to sbynews for what's going on in salisbury. Does anyone waste their time reading the "The Salisbury Disappointment"? Why bother? Thanks for all you have done for this community.

lmao off at 8:24! guess everyone who disagrees with you and says they hate working out there at piedmont for substandard wages is just one lone guy who you like to call names! appears to me you are the one who needs to wake up and smell the coffee! just because dickie decided to offer you a job and paid you well doesn't mean he did that for everyone! If he gave a rats @ss about the employees he would never have sold the company!

Seriously people get a life. This is old news. This pilot made a mistake was punished for it and lost his license and career. Obviously the author of this blog has a beef with the airlines.

Another classic cover up by local media, just like the riverside condos flood.

Anyone know if he re-applied and/or is currently working for Piedmont again? Or has he moved on to endanger another set of airline passengers?

Looks like I'll be flying BWI or ORF from now on. What a shame!

Truthfully, out of respect for the recent Malaysian Airline disaster where almost 240 passengers are presumed dead, this story about one Henson Airlines pilot who flew too low over the mall needs to end! It just seems so "non important" and not really news anymore. Let it go.....

"One Henson pilot".. wake up!! It sounds like you are very confident it was one pilot doing this one time. Everyone knows that's not the case here.

All this publicity drove him into the poor house now he doesn't have that Zion Road house to fly over! 3-6-14.

That is the way this airline handles PR problems- they just ignore them and wait it out. Look at what the parent company did after that Waco flight attendant threw a blind man off her flight for no good reason. Instead of admitting a mistake and trying to make it right, they tried to vilify a disabled person.

I have to admit after reading the article in today's Delmarva Now (August 2014) this is very old news that seems as though someone is trying to make some dollars off of. It's going on two years and just now bringing it back up once again - there are so many other problems going on in the world and for someone to want to get this story out must be looking for an "early retirement" .

The blind man was kicked off the plane for not following FAA mandated rules, and then swearing at the flight attendant who's responsibility it is to enforce them. Being blind gives you no special privileges when flight safety is at risk. Not following flight crew instructions is a quick and sure way to get removed from the plane; whether you agree with the rule or not is irrelevant. Call your Congressman if you want the FAA to change their rules, don't blame the crew.
