It would be a great fire department if the fire calls were handled by volunteers.
EMS needs to be a totally separate entity.
I'll see some comments come in here from firefighters, but there is absolutely no f-ing way anyone can justify sending a full fire crew out to all these calls and wearing out our fire engines. What a total waste of City funds and wear and tear on the equipment.
If today was a "normal" day, the firetruck had 2 calls to go to.
Instead, it probably went on all of them all day, including lunch and dinner calls.
THEFT is what I call it!
