Harford County Executive David Craig unveiled his tax proposal at a news conference in Annapolis this morning.
If elected governor, Craig would lower all income tax brackets to a flat 4.25% by 2016. The personal exemption will increase from the current $3200 to $5000. Craig says the savings to taxpayers will be $600 million with an average savings of $352 for married couples or $176 for individual filers.

Taxes need to be cut or all remaining businesses will leave Marypand. It has already started and Berretta Gun Manufacturer is moving to Tennessee, thanks to OweMalley's Anti-Gun Policy. It would be good to start with a flat tax... unfortunately this is a radical thought to most of the Maryland socialist...

It's called experience and wisdom.
Nothing is free.
You will eventually pay double the tax break somewhere else.
Flat tax will not do any good until they get rid of those special deductions.
2:24 you are correct.. while I believe a flat tax could work, it is dependant upon shutting down the other tax loop holes. It would also mean shuuting down many of the social programs that the state uses to keep people down and to force them to vote socialist errrrr democratic. It will never happen in Maryland, sicne it is run by 3 jurisdictions.. Baltimore City, PG and Montgomery county. We on the shore could help change Maryland by not employing illegals....
