Berlin Leads In ‘America's Coolest Small Town' Contest

Berlin, a small town in Maryland, is leading the competition of "America's Coolest Small Town." The contest put on by BudgetTravel.com ranks the top 15 small towns in the country based on votes on their site.

With only 24 days left to vote and 23 percent of the total vote, Berlin holds first place in the race against towns in states like North Carolina, West Virginia, New York, South Dakota and California. Another local town, Mathews, Va., lags behind in 11th place.

Last year's winner, Lititz, Pa., is known for its historic background and Native American artifacts.

That's only because they can vote multiple times.

You can only vote once per day per IP address. The same rules apply to all the people in the contest. You should be happy that a local town is winning instead of spewing hate.

What are they winning? Some stupid award???? Is it going to bring jobs to the shore??? No.... Are people gonna move here because of it??.. Not hardly....the shore is fading quickly and no awards will fix that. Yes Berlin is a nice town though..

Berlin is a great small town; a town to be proud of, unlike Salisbury.
