Six House members asked President Obama to fire James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence who admitted to giving Congress the "least untruthful" answer he could about National Security Agencyprograms, in a letter sent Monday.
“The continued role of James Clapper as Director of National Intelligence is incompatible with the goal of restoring trust in our security programs and ensuring the highest level of transparency,” the lawmakers -- Reps. Darrell Issa, R-Calif.; Alan Grayson, D-Fla.; Ted Poe, R-Texas; Paul Broun, R-Ga.; Doug Collins, R-Ga.; and Walter Jones, R-N.C. -- wrote. “Director Clapper continues to hold his position despite lying toCongress, under oath, about the existence of bulk data collection programs in March 2013.”
