Pittsville Candidate George Whited Sits Inside Election Room
Leave it to the Pittsville Good Ol' Boys to do whatever they like. This needs to be investigated. One witness told me they went back an hour and a half later and he was still sitting there.

Results in and 3 incumbants are back in. At least a couple of people tried... Now big issue will be results of audit. Have to ask how thats going at next council meeting.
Jim do you know the totals for each person? Just curious.
Dont know the exact #'s but think the incumbants totals were in the 60's and Heathers was 35. Not sure about Smiths.
Last time I asked the town had over 500 residents that is not the total population. Im sure it is much higher now. Pathetic that only that many voted.

I think you need to research things. That IS George Whited and HE WAS on the ballot for this election. Now try your lies somewhere else.
Problem is the Town never sent out flyers about the election... they could have added a note with water bill. But you are right... most people are clueless about what is going on in this Town. Hoefully no longer. Even tho we didnt win, hopefully changes will be made. More people are aware of corruption... not only family wise but fire department wise... I have a feeling somehow they wont allow 3 people on the FD on the council... not when the council has votes to fund money to them. Just not right. And a certain one may soon bee proved he isnt a resident. We shall see.

Pathetic excuse for a human being. "Big" can't hang on the coat tails of his respectable family name anymore. His stealing, lying and down right despicable actions have left him to stew in his own nasty venom. I certainly hope no one was intimidated by this blowhard. You people have no reason to complain about the state of the town, when YOU people NEVER go to any of the meetings to voice your options and suggestions. The Town is only as good as the people who live there and care about it.
anonymous 10:00, you make a good point. However, we now live in a society in which politicians seem to somehow target ANYONE who disagrees with them. Code violations start popping up, you know the drill. It seems to be much easier to come to a place like SBYNews and express your thoughts and even disgust anonymously because of retaliation.
This brings me to voting as well. Clearly the Fire Department runs the whole Town. Very few people actually voted but I can almost guarantee the majority of those who did are either in or involved with the Fire Department.
Mr. Whithead should have been more classy about RESPECTING the rules as an AMERICAN. Instead, he proved to the Town that he can and will do whatever he wants and that is called bullying, imho.
At least the public now knows what the man is all about.
If what 9:01 is true about being on official business he can use the excuse he was there on behalf of the firehouse. Seems the deceptive people know how to break the rules without really breaking them. Sure is not someone I want running the town I live in.
