An Ohio man will finally get his legally-owned pistol back nine months after police confiscated it following his controversial arrest in February. He was never convicted of any crimes and his arrest occurred after he called police to report a potential crime in progress.
The city of Cleveland reportedly agreed this week to settle the federal lawsuit filed by Derrick Washington over what he says was the illegal seizure of his .38-caliber handgun. Police had refused to return his gun even after a city prosecutor refused to press charges due to a lack of evidence.

No way. The police took someone's property? Without a trial, or conviction?! And the State's Attorney refused to release the weapon back to a citizen NOT convicted of any crime?? LOL!!! It probably took a while to convince the cop who took the gun home that he had to give it back to the guy he stole it from...just like I say, the law doesn't apply to our "guards" or the executive branch in general. Look at all the people in the chain of command in the city of Cleveland who had a chance to do the right thing --- give the citizen his LEGAL PROPERTY BACK!! -- and they ALL said "Nah. F him. Keep it". It took a federal law suit to convince them what the law was (they enforce it, not necessarily READ it).
now imclain, from one cop hater to another, you know they really didn't mean to break any laws. they just think no one should have a gun because no one is trained with one like they are.
Like no one is trained to drive a car and talk on a phone like they are.
like no on is trained to drink and drive like they are.
like no one is trained to lie like they are...except maybe obammy and the rest of his admin from the spite house.
no sir, it's all some mistake, some misunderstanding.
That's why so many cops are here defending one of their own...oh wait.
