Resume:
Laurel, DE- The Delaware State Police are investigating a serious crash that injured three people including a 2 year old boy.

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. this afternoon as Logan D. Ferrell was operating a 2003 Ford Taurus westbound on Whitesville Road (SR30) approaching the intersection with Sussex Highway (US13). Ferrell came to a stop and then entered into the northbound lanes of US13 and into the path of a 2008 Ford Fusion being operated by Elizabeth M. Dennis. The Fusion struck the Taurus on the driver's side causing the car to rotate clockwise and spin into the center median. The Fusion also continued northbound and came to a stop in the center median.

A two year old boy, seated in the back seat behind Ferrell, was not properly restrained in a safety approved car seat and was ejected into the front seat passenger. The boy, who is the nephew of Ferrell, was flown to A. I. DuPont Hospital with serious injuries. He is currently listed in stable condition. Ferrell and a 16 year old female passenger were both transported by EMS to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Elizabeth M. Dennis, who was properly restrained, reported no injuries at the scene of the crash.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating this incident and charges are pending. US13 northbound was closed at Whitesville Road for approximately three hours as the crash was investigated and cleared.

This is why it is so important that the Health Department hosts events to teach people how to properly restrain their children. I seem to recall some idiot on here saying it was big brother stuff or something. Still think so Imclain?
