I spent about 5 hours yesterday (9/30/2013) purchasing my gun. I finally finished at about 11:00pm. It took about 1/2 hour to go through the paperwork. I heard that they had sold over 100 guns yesterday...they have been very busy at the firearms counter at Gander Mountain for almost a year now, probably as a response to the Sandy Hook shootings. I don't understand why the State of Maryland is attempting to restrict my ability to protect myself and my family.
it has been "take a number and wait" in there for quite some time. i was there with someone making a purchase late saturday afternoon and there were still people coming in to buy that hadn't done the online training course yet that where going to the front of the store to take it on a computer at the customer service desk and others going to the satellite library over at the mall to use the public computers there. it was a madhouse.
Gander Mountain is overpriced anyway .
You got to be kidding! Buy a gun sale? Then have to jump thru all the hoops so they will have you on record. You fools. The SS# will be a knocking.
Kudos to the sales staff at the gun counter at Gander Mountain. They were patient and polite and helped customers until nearly midnight.
What differnece does it make? You can't get many types of ammo and what you can get is expensive!

Gander is overpriced, but they're here and an easy purchase. I will not buy anything else there, and have better places to buy from.
I got my AR-15 at a small local gun store...very short wait!
