WE’RE ALREADY LIVING UNDER MARTIAL LAW

The description below of martial law and when it is usually imposed does not meet the circumstances in our country today, but the government has silently imposed martial law while the American sheeple were distracted by their iGadgets and Reality TV shows. The DHS has been arming local police forces with military level weaponry over the last few years. The military has been conducting military training exercises in cities across the country. DHS has been stockpiling ammo. DHS locked down the 6th largest city in the country searching for a wounded teenager and went into homes without a search warrant. We are treated like prisoners when attempting to fly on a plane. The NSA is monitoring everything we say, type, or text. Drones are flying in our skies observing our every movement. Random checkpoints are set up on our roads where we are harassed for our papers. The government propaganda media keeps the masses fearful of imminent attacks. If this isn’t martial law, is it freedom?

Martial law is the imposition of military rule by military authorities over designated regions on an emergency basis. Martial law is usually imposed on a temporary basis when the civilian government or civilian authorities fail to function effectively (e.g., maintain order and security, or provide essential services), when there are extensive riots and protests, or when the disobedience of the law becomes widespread. Fundamentally it is a requirement put on civilian government when they fail to function correctly. The imposition of martial law accompanies curfews, the suspension of civil law, civil rights, habeas corpus, and the application or extension of military law or military justice to civilians.
