Blue Cross, Aetna, United, Humana Flee Obamacare Exchanges

(CNSNews.com) – Major health insurance companies--Blue Cross, Aetna, United, Humana--have decided not to participate in various states in the Obamacare health-insurance exchanges that will be the only place Americans will be able to buy a health insurance plan using the federal subsidies authorized under the Obamacare law.

Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (AKA Obamacare), every American must buy a health insurance plan that meets minimum government specifications. If a person does not get health insurance through their employer, and is not on Medicaid, they can buy insurance through their home state's insurance exchange (which, depending on the state, will be run by either the state or federal government).

States will also operate exchanges where small businesses can buy health-insurance plans.

which was planned. now, due to "lack of reasonable" insurance in most states, the government will be "forced" into the most lucrative business in the world.

The article mentions Maryland as one of the states these insurance companies are fleeing. Very interesting that many county governments in Maryland provide Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance to their employees. Wicomico County employee are provided with BC/BS.

Does that mean the rest of the peeps can get BC/BS for free 3:49?

I'm not in favor of obamacare but truthfully, if they (the insurance companies) wont belly up to the bar then they should be banned from selling all other insurance services in those states. Appears the other insurance companies have found a way to make it work. Total bs!

There has to be a back story, because the Maryland Medicaid program is run by United Healthcare. They are either strong arming for more money, or forcing the expansion on Medicaid.
There is a greedy reason behind all this.
