ANNAPOLIS — The former dietary manager of a Maryland juvenile detention center has pleaded guilty to using a state-issued credit card to buy tons of frozen crab legs and shrimp that were resold to local restaurants.
Attorney General Doug Gansler announced on Wednesday that Douglas Allen Fairfax pleaded guilty to one count of felony theft in Frederick County Circuit Court.
Fairfax, who worked at the Victor Cullen Center in Sabillasville, used the credit card to buy more than 15,000 pounds of seafood that cost taxpayers about $94,000. He made the purchases between January 2011 and February 2012 to sell for his own profit.

Sounds to me like he owes us $100k, plus punitive damages. Oh, and go find a job in the private sector; we put up with $hit like you.
I thought Maryland government auditors look at credit card purchases for content and amount. How did these purchases get passed them on the approval level??? There are more guilty people here than just the thief. Once again, the watchdogs for the citizens of Maryland were asleep at the wheel!
I bet that he will get more time than Wanda Henderson did for stealing all that money from Hebron Bank.
