The many 'When's' of Barack Obama
WHEN – he refused to disclose who donated money to his election campaign, as other candidates had done, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – he received endorsements from people like Louis Farrakhan, Muramar Kaddafi and Hugo Chavez, people said it didn’t matter.
WHEN – it was pointed out that he was a total newcomer and had absolutely no experience at anything except community organizing, people said it didn’t matter.

I don't know why you guys want to claim all this "Obama controls the media" crud. This is the same media that applauded everything that pres. Bush did up until the end of his first term. After that, they started piling on. We see the same now with Obama. The media, regardless of the political slant, is less concerned about delivering real information and more concerned about selling ads. Hence, they go with whatever story seems popular. That includes not beating up on a pres. in his first term, but going at him when its the cool thing to do in his second term. They get away with it because so many of you actually enjoy being low-information consumers that simply enjoy being entertained by half-baked storylines.

Also from day 1 of Bush's presidency he warned of the looming housing crisis and was bashed repeatedly by the dems and the media for not wanting low income people to be homeowners or some other hogwash.

um Katrina was in 2005, thats a long day from Day 1. And there was a full swing media blitz in support of the pres. after 9/11. It was the "patriotic" thing to do.
