Somerset County Sheriff's Office Press Re;ease 6-14-13
The Somerset County Sheriff's Office announces the hiring of retired Maryland State Police Trooper, Chuck Salvas. Chuck, a retired Sergeant from the Princess Anne Barrack, has served in law enforcement for 26 years. Chuck will serve the county as a Sheriff's Deputy, and will fill a vacancy with the civil division.

wow finally a bit of great news!!! i worked with chuck as a civilian employee with MSP for several years.The last year has been very hard for chuck and his family and he has overcome amazing odds!!!!He is a great guy and will be a great addition to the sheriffs office!!! good for you chuck!!

Was this the same trooper who was investigated for using racial slurs during a phone call while assigned to the Princess Anne Barrack?
I'm sorry, but if I got a job working for Bobby Jones, I'd be embarrassed; but that's just me.
