The Federal Bureau of Investigation is once again hunting for the body of former International Brotherhood of Teamsters President James "Jimmy" Hoffa, whose mysterious 1975 disappearance remains unsolved.
The government executed a search warrant Monday in a grassy field in Oakland Township, Mich., about 45 miles north of Detroit, Robert Foley III, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Detroit office, told reporters. The search is “based on information that we have involving the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa,” the Associated Press quoted Mr. Foley as saying.
Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard, who spoke along with Foley, said, “It is my fondest hope that we can give … closure not just to the Hoffa family but also to the community,” according to a report from the Detroit Free Press.

His killer made a death bed admission that he killed him in a house in Michigan and took the body down the street to be cremated.
That's why they will never find the body. The guy that killed Hoffa was Hoffa's best friend. Which is how they did things back in that day. Less suspicion if a friend killed the victim and less trouble.
The killer died a couple weeks later from starving himself to death in a hospital.
His family disowned him.
If Hoffa didn't try to take back the union he would still be alive.
His threats to tell all he knew if he was not allowed to run the union again is what did him in.
But keep digging F.B.I. and wasting taxpayer monies.
a waste of money...
I think we need to put his son right beside him!! The apples doesn't fall far from the tree.
It's a real life treasure hunt. Who cares if he is found, unless they bury all unions with his body. Then, I'm all for it.
Geraldo just never gives up...
Questionable that he would still be alive at 99,but I get your point.
Whoever is in charge of this money wasting case should be fired.
When democrats are iinvolved in any scandal, they decide to search for Jimmy Hoffa. Is that a Coincedence? Not hardly. More like Planned Distraction from the Real Problems. Folks, stay focused and keep your eyes on the ball.
