Freshman Congressman Tom Cotton (R-AR) delivered some thought-provoking comments on terrorism and the Obama administration on Wednesday during a speech on the House floor. “In barely four years,” he said, “five jihadists have reached their targets in the United States under Barack Obama.”
But he wasn’t done there.
“In the over seven years after 9/11 under George W. Bush, how many terrorists reached their target in the United States?” he added. “Zero! We need to ask, ‘Why is the Obama Administration failing in its mission to stop terrorism before it reaches its targets in the United States?’”

He wants to keep the American people scared.
It's working they are all buying guns and ammo.
And now he wants to stop that.
This is no surprise to me. Under his leadership all the branches are falling off the tree.
This is a great speech......too bad the facts don't back up the claim. But I know, the memory of a partisan idealogue only goes back as far as the 24 hour news cycle.
Here's a good rundown.
"Rep. Cotton sites 5 Jihadists terrorist attacks under president Obamas' watch. In truth there were 4, by definition as acts against civilians and 1 involving combatants (the Fort Hood shooter), of which 2 were attempts and 3 were successful (counting Ft Hood), five (5) civilians souls and thirteen (13) combatants lost on american soil. Under former President Bush there were, by definition, 7 Jihadist terrorist attacks (Richard Reid, Hesham Mohamed Hadayet, John Allen Muhammed, Boyd Lee Malvo, Mhammed Reza Taheri-azana, Naveed Haq, Omeed Aziz Popal, Derrick Shareef, and Sulejman Talovic) of which 2 were attempts and 5 were successful, resulting in nineteen (19) civilian souls lost. The Anthrax attacks, immediately after 9/11, were never claimed or assigned to a Jihadist or Domestic terrorist (5 souls lost). There were 2 combatant souls lost at Camp Pennsylvania, Kuwait (temporary American territory) by the actions of Sgt. Hasan Akbar of the 101st Airborne. Either Cotton is a liar or is just ignorant of the facts, I don't know which. But zero, please? There were a total of 14 terrorist attacks, 7 jihadist (19 souls lost), 6 domestic (7 souls lost), and 1 combatant (2 souls lost), after 9/11, under president Bush. Also, there were 12 terrorist attacks on our embassies, under Bush, resulting in numerous deaths. I wish republican law makers, and others, were not going down this blame game road. I wish they would behave as democrats did when these horrible acts were taking place under George Bush's watch. I remember calls for unity, what happened? Peace."
