Officers with the Delaware State Police Governor's Task Force seized more than $100,000 in heroin following a traffic stop near the I-95 and Route 141 intersection in New Castle.
Police stopped a vehicle April 8 driven by Daniel Diaz, 33, of Newark. Inside the car, police found a hidden compartment with 10,026 individual bags of heroin totaling 250.5 grams, said Sgt. Paul Shavack, spokesman for the Delaware State Police.
In addition to the heroin, police said Diaz was carrying $2,500, Shavack said.
