Joe Flacco Donating $25k To Memorial Fund In Honor Of Towson Student

ABC2 has confirmed Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is partnering with Dairy Queen to make a donation to the Matthew J. Cheswick Memorial Fund. Cheswick, a Towson University student, was killed in a hit and run accident last year in Ocean City.

The donation of $25,000 will be made during an upcoming special event. We're told the donation was Flacco's idea, with the quarterback touched by Cheswick's story. Matthew, who was 22 when he died, was a die-hard Ravens fan who often attended games with his father and brother. A banner baring Matthew's nickname "Cheese" hangs in the stands at M & T Bank Stadium during games.
