Immigration Advocates Say Their Bill Could Help Weed Out Terrorists

The authors of the Senate immigration bill are mounting a campaign to try to make sure the Boston Marathon bombings last week don’t derail their push to overhaul the U.S. immigration system, saying the problems lie more with the FBI than with legal immigration.

In the wake of the revelation that the two men suspected of the bombings were immigrants, some on Capitol Hill said it should be a reason to slow down enactment of an immigration reform bill.

But Sen. Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat and one of eight senators who wrote the immigration legislation, said they won’t accept a delay.

Hidden in the bill -- millions of dollars in "pork" that benefit the Gang of Eight's home districts. They are despicable.

And on top of that, these two were not naturalized citizens; they came here 10 years ago under a family asylum clause, and were never looked at after that. Why 10 years with no requirement to go through
citizenship classes and procedures? Take an English class or two? Or get their butts booted back to Russia?
This is what is broken, folks. Existing laws not enforced, open borders and free handouts to all. No wonder the economy is in the toilet!

I only like Chuckie boy when I watch his face as his horrible bills get shot down. "The problem lies with the FBI"? GTFOH, the problem lies with the fact that Dems only want those votes, and could care less what the person is doing the other 364 days of the year.

Every politician in Washington could be held accountable for allowing Law Enforcement to break the law.
IT IS STILL ILLEGAL TO BE IN THIS COUNTRY WITHOUT DOCUMENTATION.
PROTOCOL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED TO DETAIN AND DEPORT ILLEGAL ALIENS.
No politician is calling for CURRENT laws to be enforced.
This is a major failure.
Round them up and send them home.

But lets deport the Christian homeschooling family from Germany who are seeking political asylum here. Leftist Madness is destroying the world as we know it--may God help us.

11 MILLION ILLEGALS! They are illegal!!! Deport them. Stop wasting money from TAXPAYERS on illegals. Citizens have enough burden already when we spend so much of OUR money overseas to help everyone else. Charity starts at home. Plus, we should not spend one DIME on those who hate us: i.e. Muslim lead countries. Not one dime!

in 5 years they'll be saying 10 years is too long to be on the path to citizenship. Then they shorten
"it" to 5 years. anyone wanting to be re elected will have to be for it. well played? I think not, if you believe the word illegal means ILLEGAL!

The bombings last week only serve to mask what they do with this bill. Not much else in the news.
