Yellow Journalism
Joe, I’ve never read a more slanted, biased article against anyone than the Daily Times piece on your candidacy for mayor. The newspaper should be ashamed of itself for allowing something like that to be printed as news.

i agree with this post. i feel that the management at the "paper" does not recognize the difference between news reporting and gossip.
Remember what business they are in. They are in business to make money for their investors. If they feel that printing slanted stories will increase their profit, that is what they are going to do.
YES. Also Shanie has an opinion on NOT having read your blog for 5 years? What a dumb bunny. (sorry bunnies!) Anyone who has read KNOWS YOU'RE NOT RACIST!(I read it EVERY day & haven't seen anything racist.) The situation she was involved in was about you & Campbell wanting her to recuse her vote because of her ForeClosure situation. I don't think she did recuse. But I'm not sure.
Have to agree with your yellow journalism statement. DT didn't really paint jimmy as the whiney, crybaby, publicity hound that he really is. What exactly has he done, for the good of the city anyhow? (he's sure called a lot of fruitless press conferences.)
Articles of this nature is one of the main reasons there are so many subscrition cancelations.People are fed up with their slanted reporting. I recently overheard one of their employees say that they were almost ashamed to admit being a part of this paper.
I received calls from several people yesterday saying they had cancelled their subscription. The interesting part about it is, Jeremy Cox stated in the interview that he knew there'd be a lot of cancellations once the article came out. Makes you wonder just who is in charge of that paper. Did Jim Ireton replace Greg Bassett?
