The suits, filed in Pennsylvania, California and other states, claim consumers have been cheated out of the alcohol content stated on labels. Budweiser and Michelob each boast of being 5 percent alcohol, while some "light" versions are said to be just over 4 percent.
The lawsuits are based on information from former employees at the company's 13 U.S. breweries, some in high-level plant positions, according to lead lawyer Josh Boxer of San Rafael, Calif.

Wow are we a sue crazy society or what? People need to get their priorities straight. Reminds me when I was kid and got mad about oregano mixed in with my bag of weed. I guess I should have sued!
Well, the previous two commenters don't seem to need 87 octane in their gas, either! I'll just add 5% water to every load I get. The alcohol will soak it up and I'll make more money!

According to the news I heard yesterday, no one, including the beer-truck-chasing attorneys, had taken the beer to a lab to have it tested for alcohol content to determine if it matched the label.
If it does, I hope the plaintiffs get whacked for fees and damages. Shaky hearsay suit.

We've called this stuff "beer flavored water" for years. Looks like our tastebuds (no pun) were right.
agree 157 and 238. Thing is, why not just get it tested and put the results on blast. Find a REAL beer, maybe even a local brew, and support it. Why are you wasting the courts time? Oh yeah, $$$
I really don't think there will be any merit to the plaintiffs claims... and why would you drink that mess anyway when we have Dogfish head, Evolution, and 16 Mile Brews... plus more.. all local, high quality fresh beers, right here! There's a new brewery in Berlin, too.. plus the "local-ish" brews from across the bridge... there is little reason to drink that "lawn mowing" beer, unless of course you are mowing the lawn.
