A Comment Worthy Of A Post 1-5-13

Be careful they are just waiting for you to run and then they are going to run right over you. They are going to make you look like the biggest dumb ass ever. Joe don't run unless you like the feel of a jail cell.

There's a big difference between Jim Ireton and Joe Albero. I'm a man who isn't afraid of bullies and Jimmy, well, he's just so sensitive. I'll prove on Tuesday you people don't scare me one bit.

Of course they are going to attempt to make Joe out to be every negative thing their little brains can think of. When you don't have a record to run on that's what they do. The only thing it ever proves is how low class families these who engage in this behaviour come from. It especially reflects on their mothers who must have been a sleazeball herself to have raised such children that resort to improper negative tactics.

I just saw this comment under the story you had from yesterday. If this is true this should be on the front of every newspaper and on every TV and the top story on this blog.

"Jim Ireton followed a few women into the ladies room at Mojo's. They asked him to leave because they felt uncomfortable with him in there. He said he wasn't going to leave and told them to pee with him in there. Then he pulled out his penis in front of them and began urinating in front of them. One of the women has contacted an attorney because she is in fear of losing her job when she comes forward. She is leaning toward going public and suing for sexual harassment but doesn't want to be fired. Her lawyer told her to keep it quiet and let it go through the courts. We'll see."

Until women step up and say what's happened to them, and until they are believed by those in charge of investigations, offenders will not be stopped. Losing one's job for reporting illegal conduct on the part of one's boss is reprehensible.

I'm wondering if there isn't some kind of law making it illegal to enter the restroom of the opposite sex? If not, there is a law against public lewdness and this should be a criminal matter. Why should the PD have to wait for someone to come forward to file a complaint? If they read something on a blog they need to get with the times and take it seriously.

Wait a minute........Jim is interested in women????? Either I am confused or someone else is confused! We surely already know Jim is confused. LOL

If it's true, they shouldn't fear for their jobs, the city should take action to prevent lawsuits.

Is she a city employee?

What does a jail cell have to do with anything? What an uneducated, ignorant & hateful resident this is to post such a comment.

That's 1 of the main problems on Maryland's Lower Eastern Shore...WAY too many uneducated, ignorant & hateful people live here.

10:57, i have to take umbridge with your comment. the Delmarva Peninsula is a beautiful region of the world and; for the most part, the people are wonderful, hard working, kind and generous.

of course we have a few who don't have good attributes, but all parts of the earth have their negative issues.

again; Delmarva is a wonderful place to live and raise a family and of course vacation.

I have to ask. Where would you like to live that is better? Why are you not already there? Where did you move from and why? I doubt I will get an answer it seems you just want to complain about something.

I moved to ocean city 26 years ago from pa. Delmarva is way better than Pa. Weather and people!

No offense 12:13, you are absolutely right. Delmarva is a beautiful place to live, but a terrible region in MD for employment where the unemployment rate is among the highest in the state. As far as the people, while there are great people I have met I find that too many are the bullying, hateful & threatening type.

12:18, to answer your questions, I have lived in several counties in MD throughout my life and would like to, and plan on, living here for the rest of my life so to answer your question...I'm already here, but it's a matter of making this a better place to live than it currently is.

Constructive changes are definitely needed to move Worcester & Wicomico Counties towards a positive future where it seems that long-time residents resist change, rather than embrace it. The Salisbury area is obviously a sloppy mess that needs to be mopped up just as the O.C. area is. Hopefully my instincts are right that Joe will make changes in the Salisbury area to steer it towards a thriving & prosperous direction if elected Mayor, but the O.C. area also desperately needs a similar-type leaders ASAP who does not show favoritism towards their "click" of buddies.

I don't know how to take this. Is it a threat? At first it comes across as a warning from a concerned person then the "jail cell" part almost sounds like a threat.

Yes, you are correct 10:57, but the majority of them are like you, imports from N.J. and Pa., all here on our eastern shore because they ruined where they originally came from with their rude and crude behavior. Upon arriving here on our eastern shore, they attempt to dictate and inflict upon others the mean spiritedness that they brought with them. I don't know of an average every day local person that wanted or wished for any outsiders like yourself. To be succinct, if you don't like us, go back to your old home. As I was about to leave the state of New Jersey back in 1985, after living there for five long years, having to put up with the daily vulgarities and like behavior from strangers, I kissed my wife goodbye, told her that I loved her but I was not willing to spend anymore of my life in that rotten state and wouldn't feel right until I was back down in Delaware with decent people. She stayed and did well in life and I've lived here and never looked back with any regrets except.........that the same jerks I left behind followed me here. A little common sense clarity for you over educated, all knowing outsiders 10:57am.

Yes there needs to be more jobs in this area. I agree on that, but if you start changing things the way you are used to it then this area turns into where you left. It's almost the same as people that move from other countries to have a better life then want to change the way we do things. I left the DC/Baltimore area 22 years ago because of the traffic and rude people. There is always going to be things you don't like where ever you live so you have to take the bad with the good. I find there is more good than bad in this area.

Good for you, as far as standing up to bullies. Everybody should defend themselves against them-adults, as well as kids. Those who do not and opt to cower, live in fear all of their lives.

Great point 1:58. I prefer the slower pace & sparser population and would much rather be driving behind someone driving 40 MPH in the fast lane "over here" than have someone driving on my butt in the slow lane while I'm driving 70 MPH "over there."

At the same time, this area desperately needs to attract major companies to this area in order to create decent-paying professional jobs. I want my children to live near me when they grow up, but they would suffer because most of the open jobs are horrible-paying "grunt" jobs in Worcester & Wicomico counties. The majority of jobs consist of hotel, restaurant, bar, and sales positions where most of the work environments are hostile, unruly & unprofessional.

"Constructive changes are definitely needed to move Worcester & Wicomico Counties towards a positive future where it seems that long-time residents resist change, rather than embrace it."

I completely disagree. "Change" is what turned this previously self supporting, bucolic area into utter chaos. A few decades ago family farming was the mainstay and supported many many other businesses such as feed shop, small manufacturing, etc. By supporting "change" it's now a haven of factory farms and chain businesses who pay low wages which in turn attacts a not so nice caliber of people.

1:34-I must say, that is very admirable & honorable of you to kiss your wife goodbye as you state. Us married men who are devoted to our wives through "thick & thin" will take note of your immoral selfish needs & bullying demeanor.
You must be a man who possesses great character and Godly values & principles.

2:48-perhaps you are right, but change is ALWAYS inevitable & unavoidable so we all must accept & embrace change and change things positively.
Ireton "changed" Salisbury in a negative manner, so it is up to Joe or someone else to change the area in positive ways.

From what I gather, it looks like 1:34 proved 10:57's point in regards to the hateful people who live here.
What an ignorant bully 1:34 is!!!

10:57-I agree. That reminds me of the people I would occasionally work with who always talked about how much money they made at some other job.Somewhere else was always better and some other job always payed more. They always had some bullcrap explanation for why they left their great paying job.

9:42 I agree. A rape case was reported. The woman wasn't believed. Now she faces unknown years in theraphy, doesn't trust those at the police department and will never trust a man again. I hope these women will go public. It's sad when the victims are victimized by the system who should be protecting them.
