State Police Had Additional Patrols Over Holiday

PIKESVILLE, Md. - The Maryland State Police say troopers stopped more than 8,900 vehicles during the Thanksgiving weekend.

Police announced Monday that 96 motorists were arrested for driving under the influence. Fifty-six people also were arrested for drug violations. Police say there were 133 people arrested for various other criminal violations. Troopers also recovered three guns during traffic stops.
