On Wednesday, while reacting to the death of an American border agent, Sir Richard Branson told Reuters that the American War on Drugs is not only a failure, it is also "racist."
Speaking at the offices of the Metro Newspaper in New York where he was acting as a "global guest editor," Branson said that he was part of a commission that spent two years looking at the war on drugs and they came to the conclusion that it is "patently obvious it's failed ."
Branson noted that other nations, like Portugal, have made changes to their policies that have helped alleviate their drug problems and suggested that the U.S. follow suit.

It surely deserves a "look". The war is not being won and dont think it ever will be. We seem to start wars and they just go on and on and on ever since Hiroshima.
Jack the CIA funds there black ops through drug money. They will do everything in their power to keep that cash cow alive. Plus you get to fill all the beds in the privatized, for profit prisons in our country. More prisoners and prisons than any other country.
Not fighting the war, giving up and saying it's OK for whole neighborhoods to turn into Mexico, would be racist. In people like Branson's eye's, drugs are for cool people at parties. He doesn't realize there are millions of addicts that will rob/steal/kill for their next high. They will steal from their loved ones for drugs with no guilt.
We have had whole neighborhoods drug infested like Mexico for 50 years now! That's what they want. It's one of the most profitable arms of corruption. Who wants to stop the cash cow. There are other policies throughout the world that have been much more successful from the good of humanity standpoint. Other countries governments treat addiction as a disease, not crime, as well as modified the US dictated world war on drugs agenda and seen success. Check out the last white hope on you tube
Sincerest thanks to Sir Richard for taking his valuable time to help straighten out our little country. I wonder how many poor people of color have been knighted in merry old England?
