DEVELOPING: Federal authorities arrested a Bangladeshi national Wednesday morning for allegedly plotting to blow up a Federal Reserve Bank in New York City's lower Manhattan, mere blocks away from the site of the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001. The bank is one of 12 branches around the country.
The 21-year-old suspect, Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis, attempted to detonate what he thought was a 1,000-pound bomb in front of the Fed building on Liberty Street, but the device was a fake supplied to him by undercover FBI agents who had been tracking his activity, the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force said Wednesday afternoon.
The supposed explosives posed no threat to the public, the FBI said.

Another Muslim doing what they do best!
The religion of peace
I repeat~~~~
This is a crock. FBI gets wind of some guy talking jihad online and then engages him to plot this attack on the Fed Reserve. They didn't "foil" any plot. All they did was exploit a nutcase.
Fumbling Bureau of Incompentence.
Couldn't catch a real terrorist even if some flight instuctor called them TWICE to warn them of some funny business going on with some middle easterners who were taking flight lessons but weren't interested in learning how to land the plane!
You got it 7:02, don't forget the added bonus of labelling the anti-Fed Reserve people extremists by implication.
YES. It is a setup. Period. Against the constitution for AMERICANS. This guy does not fit that category now does he? Shouldn't even be here in the first place... along with half of Dearborn Michigan and other Muslims from anti American Islamic nations.
But, as long as they continue to get willing jihadi's out of our country who cares?
Time for a good ole western round up if you ask me.
WOW morons posting like crazy. The FBI routinely caputers terrorists that don't make national news. Great Job! Great Catch!
Same ol false flag crap to justify taking our rights. They have to create, foster, and encourage terrorism to keep the war myth cash cow going.
Please give me 5 minutes with this guy.....Please.
Wow 7:02 you must have been Arrested by the FBI...?
Great. Yet another case of the FBI supplying bomb-making materials to a person who would not be able to gather bomb-making materials on their own, then arresting them for making bombs. Way to keep up the extremism facade, guys. If the US can't find "terrorists" we create them ourselves, then arrest them, then prance around the media talking tough.
This is messed up. Here's this mental case wanna be terrorist who had no ties to any terrorist organization and who most likely on his own hadn't the ability to get ahold of bomb making material nor build a bomb.
Then we had 100-150 al qaida warriors storm the consulate in Benghazi. This had to take months of planning, not to mention the warning signs and previous incidents in Libya and the Feds werent able to "foil" this plot?
Before long the Feds are going to have to start looking in psych wards for these "terrorists."
Nope Bkln never been arrested in my life by the FBI or any agency. Had 2 traffic tickets in 30 years is about it.
These entrapment games are a waste of time and money and while they were wasting time and money, real true terrorists were able to plan and execute an assault in a foreign country that resulted in the deaths of 4 Americans.
This is stupid. When this guy put out that he was looking to recruit terrorists to attack a US target why did the FBI jump in and play along? Why didn't they monitor this guy 24/7 to see if in fact some known terrorist organization did contact him? The FBI supplied everything for making the bomb. Why didn't they wait and see if someone else didn't offer to finance this plot and then go after them also?
The FBI did not supply bomb making material, they supplied what the alleged "thought" was bomb making material, fake ammonium nitrate. He was too stupid to realize it wasn't the real thing.
Some of you people read or hear nothing but a headline and run with it, much like the stupid wanna be terrorist.
These entrapment issues are about the only thing I agree with the ACLU. The FBI takes someone's hand and walks them through the illegal motions then arrests them. This is not real investigative work. It's playing a game. And yes, in the meantime a plot was planned and executed resulting in the deaths in Libya.
9:31 You're an idiot. If the bomb materials were real do you think he would have detonated the bomb? This is called good police work. The ACLU is a Nazi organization.
He needs to be tried, convicted and executed..period

The real question is would he have been able to get ahold of real bombing making material, make a bomb and detonate it without the "help" of the FBI?
In the meantime while the Feds are farting around setting up wanna be terrorists, the real terrorists are having a field day. 4 dead Americans in Benghazi is the sad proof.
It's time the Feds got to work and did real investigative work. The signs that al qaida was planning an attack in Libya was handed to them on a silver plattter but that attacked wasn't foiled. Too busy setting up mental case wannabe terrorists.
You are the idiot 10:06. Whether the bomb materials were real or not and whether he could would or might have detonated a bomb are all nonissues.
The prudent would have been to put this guy under watch to see if quite possibly he was contacted by terror cells who may be operating in the US. Watch to see if they finance him/help him in any way. Arresting this guy is like arresting someone for $20 worth of pot and saying it's fighting the war on drugs.
