Maryland will participate in the first ever Great SouthEast Shakeout Thursday morning at 10:18.
In the wake of the August 23, 2011 earthquake that was centered in Virginia, Maryland is joining four other coastal states and the District of Columbia for the earthquake exercise. Many schools and colleges, businesses, government offices and others will simulate an earthquake at that time and “Stop, Drop and Hold On.”
