Should Clothes For Larger Children Be Called ‘Plus-Size’?

People come in different sizes. This is particularly true for children, whose bodies are constantly growing and changing. Standard sizes meant for all kids don't fit all kids, especially with an increasing percentage of overweight children. Boys' clothing cut larger with the designation of "Husky" have been around for a while, and some kids and parents find them embarrassing. But what about girls? Some retailers of children's clothing have introduced larger cuts of clothing for girls as young as 3, but have designated these clothes "plus size," just like clothes for larger adult women.

It's simple. If the kids or the moms are fat, it's because they are over weight. Plus size usually means lazy. Very few fat people have much ambition.

maybe they ought to just label them "slob"!

6:14 and 8:28 What size are you? What gives you the right to say anything about the people of over weight? Do do you know why they are over weight. Do you know anyone that is over weight, and would you say that to their face? To answer your next question I am 110 and 5 foot 2. But I would not look down on anyone no matter what. But I also feel plus size means just that. Leave it alone.map

6:14 and 8:28. I am thin and would rather be around a fat person than an ignorant and mean person like the both of you!

8:45 This is 6:14. I do not look down on fat people. Fat people are fat people, period. Instead of naming them plus size, why not say it like it is. Persons that wear bigger than usual clothing are fat. I truly do not care about your weight or how tall you are, however, at 5'2" you don't have to look down to many people.

8:45, 6:14, I don't care what your lifestyle is but the bottom line is if you are fat then you are fat. Change your lifestyle. sooner or later society will start making fat people pay for their fair share. Taking care of and supporting fat people costs society alot more than taking care of thin people. Not everyone can claim a medical problem. How about a lack of disipline!

Sooner than later it appears. Under obamacare obesity is going to be classified as a mental illness and will be treated as such. What likely will happen is if you dont' conform and get over this mental illness of yours, you many be S.O.L when it comes to treatment for diseases and conditons brought on by obesity.

unless you have a legitimate disease that causes obesity, there is absolutely no excuse to be over-weight.

a membership at the ymca is like 9$/month. Lay off the extra food and spend it on a gym.
