President Obama is trying to prevent thousands of layoff notices from
going out a few days before the November election, Sen. Jame Inhofe
(R-Okla.) said on Tuesday.
Obama's Labor Department on Monday
issued "guidance" to the states, telling them that a federal law
requiring advance notice of mass layoffs does not apply to the layoffs
that may occur in January as a result of automatic budget cuts known as
"sequestration."

Certainly the Republicans would be accused of the same foul...but then again, the Republicans did propose a budget and did suggest a number of ways out....
If the government is cut....there goes many of the jobs in Western Maryland. I wonder what OMalley's excuse will be.
The truth is just that; to keep it from the people who elected you is a crime. Let's keep tabs on those who elect crime.
How much more of this dispair must we take until Obama and his cronies are gone.

Yeah, but AFTER the election will be just fine. You know, because, well, they are just looking out for us....here's a clue for the clueless---- economic depression (NOT recession) leading to collapse CANNOT be stopped in this country. Unless we can find 20 TRILLION dollars just lying around in some bank vault. EVERY economist (except the ones on obama's payroll) will tell you the same thing. All the slogans, all the "measures", all the optimistic rhetoric, will not - cannot - stop whats coming. Why do you think Homeland Security needs 450 MILLION rounds of ammunition? Or why we need 30,000 DRONES flying over the country? Or why the US military practices controlling crowds (with placards demanding "we want food!!")? Wake the hell up....
