Passing the Olympic Torch is a logistically complicated task at the best
of times, but when a random young man runs out to try to grab the torch
yelling, it becomes both complicated and perilous. That is what
happened in London today as a 17-year-old yelling “Allahu Akbar” (Arabic
for “God is great”) ran out and tried to grab the torch.

How much info do you want (or are really interested in hearing?) Google "Lain Murray", a BRITISH citizen and a leading expert on crime in Britian. Or read Joyce Malcolm's book "Guns and Violence: The English Experience". Crime STATISTICS are not the true story mainly because of the HUGE population difference, huge land mass difference and the fact that we have, essentially, open borders--- unlike England. The Telegraph, A BRITISH newspaper, published an article that pointed out the failure of gun control in Britain, poiting out that criminals (who are the only ones with guns), have run rampant in one of the strictist gun control nations on Earth. Of course all that information STILL wouldn't convince those who are convinced of the liberal position of people like you. Lastly, no one man can, or will, "start the revolution". It will be an event that will ignite the passions of millions. And that event will not be the INTENDED start of the revolution, similar in nature to the Boston Tea Party. But it WILL be the result. Remember, the British government (at the time) was the most powerful nation on Earth and their GOVERNMENT - the firmly entrenched government of the colonies - was also thought to be unstoppable and irresitable. No colonist stood on the corner and yelled "start the revolution!!" and it started. Become more familiar with history. Read the above referenced info....you are one of those who believe that armed citizens would create the OK Corral environment, but you fail to acknowledge that millions of Americans are, at this very moment, walking around with a handgun. Millions have multiple weapons. And NO "OK Corral" event has occurred. Or is THAT a stat you willfully ignore?
